The Partnership
The Kyoto Career
College of Foreign Languages (KCCFL) and the Vancouver English Centre
(VEC) formalized an Agreement of Cooperation in 1998. Being
convinced of the value of cooperation in the interest of strengthening
the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between the countries
involved, the two institutions agreed on a number of conditions.
This agreement has facilitated the exchange of students between
the two institutions in an efficient and orderly manner.
About the
Schools
The Kyoto Career College of Foreign Languages offers six different
language courses. These include English, Chinese, Korean,
Thai, and Vietnamese. Although most students are from
the Kyoto area, KCCFL also accepts people from other countries.
KCCFL is a private institution established within the Kyoto University
of Foreign Studies Group.
The Agreement of Cooperation was signed by KCCFL President
Mr. Yoshikazu Morita and VEC President Mr. Kenneth D. Gardner on
September 10, 1998. The exchange of students began in the
summer of 1999 when a KCCFL group studied at VEC.
